Isaiah 42:8 says, “I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.”
We don’t often think of jealousy as a positive quality, but in this case we see God’s jealousy for his own glory. It is loving of God to desire to see himself glorified for the Scriptures tell us that we find the fulfillment of our life’s purpose when we are glorifying God with our lives.

The message of these verses is that God saves us for his own glory. Wow.
