The True Gospel - This Sunday starts our new sermon series on the true gospel.  This series is based on the book of Galatians.  Unfortunately, over time the gospel can be eroded, distorted, and abandoned.  This was the exact situation for the churches that Paul was writing to in Galatia.  They needed to recover the true gospel that they once were committed to!!!  We start this Sunday morning for with Galatians 1:1-5.

Vacation Bible School - Our VBS is planned for June 4-7 in the evenings.  We doing a Sports Camp VBS like we did last year.  It's time for you to sign up to serve!!  Sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board next to the sanctuary.  Areas of service needed are head coaches, huddle group leaders, Bible story leaders, snack crew, registrations, preschool & nursery, nurse's station.  There's a way for you to help! 


AWANA Awards Ceremony - Wednesday, May 16th is our Awards Ceremony for all the kids.  Even if you're not involved in AWANA, you are invited to come be part of this celebration!

IMB Commissioning Service - Wednesday, May 23rd we will travel to Brentwood for a commissioning service for newly appointed missionaries with our International Mission Board.  We need to know how many people will be going so we can arrange appropriate transportation.  Please let Pastor Mark know if you'd like to got.  If you have never been to a missionary commissioning service, it is highly recommended that you go.  You will hear inspiring testimonies.


DCHS Baccalaureate Service - On May 13th we will be hosting the DCHS Baccalaureate service in the LEC at 6:00 pm.

Announcements (4.4.12)

Easter Sunrise Breakfast & Service - 6:30am this Sunday morning at the LEC. Our deacons will be serving up a hot breakfast!!! Worship to follow.




Children's Easter Egg Hunt - 2:00pm this Saturday at the home of Lillian Rice (420 Hickory Ln.). Also, we're still in need of more eggs filled with candy.



Disciple Now (Youth) - April 20-22. We need a few more host homes. Speak with Jordan.


AWANA store - We are having our final AWANA store of the year on May 9th. We need your help to stock the store with summer time toys. For those who are not familiar with the AWANA store...the kids earn points throughout the year by reciting verses from memory, bringing friends to club nights, wearing their uniforms, etc. AWANA store is the place where the kids can spend their points.
